Regulatory information
CalmSplit is a self-help technology platform for organising divorce paperwork in England and Wales. It is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice.
Not a regulated legal service
CalmSplit is not authorised or regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) or any other legal regulator. Nothing on this website is legal advice, and no solicitor-client relationship is created by using the platform.
What we do
We provide structured questionnaires, plain-English guidance, document templates and workflow tools that help you prepare divorce paperwork yourselves. You remain responsible for the content and accuracy of everything you submit to HMCTS.
Independent legal advice
We strongly recommend that each spouse obtains independent legal advice from an SRA-regulated solicitor before signing any binding financial agreement, and whenever you are unsure of your rights or obligations. You can find a solicitor via the Law Society's Find a Solicitor service.
Jurisdiction
CalmSplit is designed for divorces within the jurisdiction of England and Wales. It is not suitable for civil-partnership dissolution, annulment, judicial separation, or divorces governed by another country's law.
